"I'm ready to work!" 2nd graders from Liberty City Elementary got a taste of what it's like to work at a television station during their visit to CBS4 today, arranged by CBS4 Reporter Summer Knowles through the Kids and the Power of Work (KAPOW) program. Activities included interviewing Anchors Rhiannon Ally and Josh Benson, checking out the green screen with Meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez, and filming an interview with Al Sunshine, assisted by photographer Lou Zabala. KAPOW brings business and community volunteers into schools, and students into the workplace, to help them connect what they're learning in school to their futures in work, and life. For more information about how you can participate as a volunteer or partner schools, contact KAPOW Director John Casbarro at [email protected], or go to their web site at www.kapowlfs.org.
